Mr. Jerry Luckhardt is Director of Undergraduate Studies, Associate Director of Bands, Conductor of the Symphonic Band and Conductor of the New Music Ensemble at the University of Minnesota. He is also a Professor of Conducting and coordinates all aspects of the undergraduate conducting curriculum at the University.
With a wide and varied background, Luckhardt brings to the Medalist Concert Band experiences from some of the finest music programs in the nation. He has been on the faculty at Baylor University, the University of Texas, the University of Michigan, and the University of Minnesota - Duluth and has appeared as a guest conductor and clinician with ensembles around the United States and in Europe. He is a member of the College Band Directors National Association, the Music Educators National Conference, the Minnesota Band Directors Association, Phi Beta Lambda, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Kappa Kappa Psi, and Tau Beta Sigma. Mr. Luckhardt holds degrees from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor.
